Do you believe love can truly heal you? Do you believe in the healing power of love? Well, I am a walking testament to that. My spirit guided me to Mr. Anthony, the father of my youngest daughter. Mr. Anthony is my twin flame, soulmate, spiritual teacher, best friend, business partner and lover. After separating from my ex-husband, I planned to stay single for a long time. I planned to be out on the dating scene doing my thang. I was ready to be single and mingle, lol.

I had it all planned out, like I ain’t getting into another relationship for a long time. He called me in December 2016 and I brushed him off like, Naw, I am good. My spirit kept nudging me to contact Mr. Anthony and I would resist. But my spirit kept urging me to call him. I caved in and finally decided to reach out to him so we could smoke and chill.

On our first hangout at his place, we talked, had a cool vibe, and he kept trying to get physical. Surprising myself, I was ready to go. Still, I told myself that hell no, I ain’t never coming back over here. So, as he walked me down to the door as I was about to leave, he kissed my neck, awakening a spark within me. My soul awakened to his spirit. I could finally see why my soul guided me to him. I suddenly could see and feel him on a deeper level. Shocked, I could not believe what I was feeling for this man. I thought I wanted to be single. I questioned myself like, Nah, this ain’t possible. But the truth was real and I could feel it. The divine timing was not my timing. It happens when one least expects it.

My partner has witnessed my spiritual and healing journey. He is the mirror I needed in my life. Do you have mirrors and reflections in your life that can help you grow? It is important to note that all relationships are mirrors that bring out the worst or good in you. I learned from my partner’s ability to be selfless, love himself, take care of himself, honor himself, stand up for himself and not give a damn about other people’s opinions. He did not tell me what I should do or who I should become. While he suggested books, videos and other helpful materials, I came to my own counsel about my spirituality. He was simply a light, a mirror for me to look at myself. He watched me heal myself and he gave me the necessary tools on my journey. I went deeper, hired a life coach and went to therapy. I wanted to heal and truly be free. I had money but did not feel free.

Love is high vibration. The love my partner and I poured into each other nourished both our souls and allowed us to blossom. We both are spiritually mature on our paths. We are connected on a soul level. I never heard of a soulmate or twin flame until after we met. I know energetically we vibrate on the same frequency. We are very attuned to each other’s feelings and emotions.  I remember praying for a soul like him and he came from an unlikely place. I sit and marvel at the universe answering my prayers. I will always love because love always wins in my book. Do you, like me, believe love wins?

I could have allowed my failed marriage to break me and stop me from believing in love. After a storm comes the rainbow. I got my rainbow because I remained open to love, not allowing my wounds to destroy my future.

If you are currently going through a dark patch, I encourage you to turn your pain into purpose and use it. Listen to your soul and allow your inner world to guide you to believe in love again. No matter how hurt you are, give room for love in your heart.

I am living proof love wins. I discovered that love is open to those that still believe in it despite past hurt. I have no regrets about my past, my childhood, my failed marriage, and my failed relationships. I needed these experiences to create a better life for myself and my family.

I understand that everyone’s way of healing will be different. I am just sharing my healing journey. We all want the perfect life, but this is not reality. We need storms to help us grow. I believe I have already been to hell and now I rejoice in my heaven on earth. I believe you have the ability to create your own heaven or hell. If you can make your own hell, you can make your own paradise. You can choose to live differently if you want to.

While I am a spiritual being, I no longer follow the religious way of living. I create my own path. I no longer believe I need to die physically to go to heaven. I believe in spiritual death, but I’ll talk about this in another article.

I believe in the healing power of love. It neither benefits nor serves me to hate people. Hate only wears the body down. Negative emotions can manifest into a disease in the body. I choose to love everyone and be free within my body. I will always forgive because I want to feel free within. I refuse to allow hate to grow in my body. I am healing my body with love, choosing to listen to my body and be patient with my body. When my stomach hurts, I ask my body what is wrong instead of putting food on top of a problem. I massage my body, say I love you to my body, and see a major difference in how it responds. I am no longer at war with my body. I choose to love all of me.  I believe the spiritual essence of love heals.

I hope you choose to love and allow it to win in your life. We heal in layers and it is a journey and not a destination. I am committed to healing and evolving.
