While reading one of my books, I got this aha moment: The promised land is NOW. I took it to mean that the promised land is not something we have to reach outside of ourselves to get; it’s within each of us.

If you choose to believe in your promised land, you can have it. Although I love the story of the Israelite’s exodus, I am not talking about the biblical promised land. I am talking about the promise land within. The one that concerns your soul, inner world, and spirit.

I used to believe my promised land was outside of me. Something to reach and strive for. But it’s stressful trying to obtain something that is not within you. The stress of hustling and chasing for most of one’s life only to end up failing. 

By understanding the power within, I can now manifest anything I want.

The promised land is within and spiritual; it is not always physical. While the physical world changes so much, the spiritual world within is infinite. You can dream, imagine, create life within you, and be whatever you want in your world.

I did not always believe I had the power to choose. I followed programs outside of me and believed in the patterns of the world. After my awakening, I realized I have the power to create anything in my life: the good, bad and ugly.

I used to be a victim of my own circumstances because I didn’t understand the power within me. Now I have taken back the power to choose a path for myself. For instance, nobody told me I could work from home, but I chose to do so. I strongly believed this could happen and it manifested.

I also believe in the magic power of my words. I often write down the things I want for myself and say them out loud.  And whenever I look back at these things over time, I am amazed to see them come to life.

The fact is, if you believe you can, you will, and if you believe you can’t, you won’t. We all get what we believe in life. You can never outgrow your own self-worth. My self-worth has definitely evolved over the years. I now believe I deserve good things and abundance. I now believe that I am truly powerful. I believe things that don’t seem logical and ask for things that seem impossible. My belief is so strong, these things come to light. All because I create within with my yin energy. I believe I can reach my promised land just by believing in the power within.

In the end, the way you live your life represents your promised land. Some people may not hold that belief, and this is fine too. We all have the power to choose. I did not always believe in the proximity of my promised land because I had so much hell and drama going on that I could not see the light. Now I believe that my life is the promised land and I took a hell of a journey to get here. I experienced darkness, faced my own shadows and my own demons. We all have darkness and light within us. I traveled through the darkness to find my light and I found it within my soul; my promised land is within me. My soul is free and I can breathe with ease. My promised land is within me and my home is my sanctuary. I enjoy nature, my kids, writing, my life partner, myself and traveling the world. I finally believe I deserve it. ?
